The Tisch Center’s Fall 2012 Internship and Career Fair was scheduled for October 30. Because of Hurricane Sandy it was necessary to reschedule for the safety and schedules of NYU students and the employers. Within one week of returning to NYU after the storm, a new date was selected and 45 of the original 54 companies attended.
On the morning of November 28, almost 200 Tisch Center students arrived “Dressed for Success” ready to meet top employers in the hospitality, tourism and sports industries. Students met with representatives from companies including Expedia, Hersha Hospitality Trust, The New York Mets, and Madison Square Garden who were seeking qualified candidates to fill internship and full-time positions.
Tisch Center Career Services and SCPS-Wasserman teamed up the week before the fair to offer several workshops for students including: Dress for Success, Resume Writing and Practicing your Pitch, and will do so again for the Spring 2013 Career Fair, scheduled for Tuesday, February 26, 10:30 am to 1:30 pm at the Wasserman Center for Career Development.
