On Monday, January 28, 2013, the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI) held its 2012 Adrian Awards Dinner Reception and Gala at the New York Marriott Marquis. The Adrian Awards is the world’s largest advertising, digital marketing and public relations competition for hospitality, travel and tourism. Hosted annually by HSMAI, the Adrian Awards serves as a showcase for best practices in hotel and travel-related marketing and media.
Tisch Center Clinical Associate Professor Donna Quadri-Felitti was honored as one of HSMAI’s Top 25 Most Extraordinary Minds in Sales & Marketing. This honor is given to leaders in the hospitality, travel and tourism industries for their accomplishments during a given year. 2012 was an exciting year for Dr. Quadri-Felitti, as she completed her Ph.D. in hospitality management at Iowa State University. Her dissertation on how rural wine destinations can use the experience economy approach to enhance tourism has received a USDA-funded grant for Sustainable Community Development and has been widely quoted and recognized. She was nominated by her colleagues in the Greater New York Chapter of HSMAI for this exceptional honor.
More than 1,200 guests attended the Adrian Awards, including Tisch Center faculty, staff and students there to celebrate with Dr. Quadri-Felitti.
