This year as the NYU School of Professional Studies celebrates 80 years of innovation, the Tisch Center for Hospitality and Tourism prepares to celebrate its 20th anniversary of preparing global leaders in the dynamic, expanding industries of travel, tourism, and hospitality.
International arrivals of overnight travelers reached nearly 1.1 billion visitors in 2013 according to the United Nations World Tourism Organization. Across the planet, together tourism and hospitality remain the third largest employer. There is no better university to study hospitality and tourism than the Global Network University within NYU School of Professional Studies. And with over 54 million tourists and more lodging brands than any other market in the world, there is no better location than New York City to anchor those studies.
Students have access to the extraordinary resources of New York University, one of the world’s great research and teaching institutions, and Tisch Center students benefit not only from a cadre of dedicated full-time faculty, but also from adjunct faculty members and guest lecturers who are leading professionals in their fields, unparalleled access to industry leaders, memorable site visits, and dedicated alumni employed throughout the world. Using current and relevant research, graduates receive the preparation in both knowledge and skills that are sought by leading employers.
We are especially proud of the Tisch Center’s inclusive, supportive and innovative environment, which helps both undergraduate and graduate students to achieve their goals academically today—and as industry professionals in the future.
