Academic Chair, Clinical Assistant Professor
Dr. Lynn Minnaert completed her PhD at the University of Westminster (London, UK) on the topic of social tourism for low-income families. Before starting her position at New York University, she taught at the University of Surrey (UK). Lynn’s research interests include social tourism, the social legacy of events (MICE events, Olympic Games) and corporate philanthropy in tourism and events. Her research has been funded by the Economic and Social Research Council, the European Union, the International Olympic Committee, regional tourist boards and Meeting Professionals International. Her publications include articles in Annals of Tourism Research, Tourism Management, Journal of Travel Research and Current Issues in Tourism. At NYU, Lynn is teaching classes about tourism policy, sport tourism development, tourism impacts and research methods, at the undergraduate and graduate level. She is the Academic Chair of the Tisch Center.
