Conferences, Events and Special Programs Coordinator
Education & Career Path:
I’ve worked at New York University for close to twelve years. The last ten years have been at the Tisch Center but prior to that, I worked in University Development and Alumni Relations (UDAR) helping to fundraise for the NYU Women’s Initiative and Bobst Library. Previously, I worked at the University of San Francisco in their development office handling various meetings and special events. I’ve also worked at Fitness Magazine and Time Out New York managing sampling events, added value programs, and sweepstakes. I also developed trade, barter, and sponsor agreements for promotional opportunities.
Areas of Interest:
Traveling, studying Italian, helping to network for animals needing rescue(I specifically admire and support Sean Casey Animal Rescue in Brooklyn!), fanatical Podcast listener, and amateur wine enthusiast including viticulture
Role in NYU International Hospitality Industry Investment Conference (or any other NYU event):
In my role as Conferences, Events, and Special Program Coordinator, I am responsible for the marketing and online/print projects for the NYU Hospitality Investment Conference. Some of these projects include e-mail blasts, conference agenda, conference guide, and the distributed participant list. I also manage various trade ads and our website copy. In addition, I supervise the registration process for the NYU Hospitality Investment Conference.
I volunteer at the Astor Center, managed by the Astor Wine store, which offers a place to learn about wine through classes and tastings. I not only assist with the set-up of events, registration check-in, and in-class support, but also get the unique opportunity to take part in the classes. It’s fun to be able to combine my event planning skills with my passion for food and wine.
